District 48 is changing the dates of three of our Board of Education meetings this winter/spring.

The February 14, 2018 meeting is being moved to February 21, 2018.  The site is Salt Creek Primary School.

The March 14, 2018 meeting is being moved to March 21, 2018. The site is Albright Middle School.

The June 13, 2018 meeting is being moved to June 20, 2018. The site is Albright Middle School.

The April 18, 2018 (Albright Middle School) and May 16, 2018 (Stella May Swartz School) meetings remain the same,

Upon recommendation of the District Calendar Committee, the School District 48 Board of Education adopted the 2018/19 school year calendar at the January 17, 2018 Board Meeting,.  This calendar is posted on our website under the "Approved Annual Calendar" button on the left side of this webpage.

Please note that due to significant school construction taking place during the summer of 2018, the 2018/19 school year for students will start on Tuesday September 4, 2018-two weeks later than in recent calendars.  The work during the summer of 2018 is the first wave of significant school repairs using funds from the successful November 2016 referendum.  Thanks to all in our school community for your support for these much needed repairs!

Our PIE Foundation (Partnership for Inspired Education) that supports educational opportunities in Districts 4, 45, 48, and 88 is excited to announce our 2018 Fundraiser.  On Sunday March 11, 2018, please join us at 2:00 that afternoon for a performance of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" at Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace.  The performance will be followed by an auction and a dinner.  Tickets are $90 each, and may be purchased via the PIE website: www.piefoundation.org, or by clicking on the PIE button on the left side of our webpage. Funds raised are used to support innovative educational opportunities in all four school districts,
